Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My baby who is eleven weeks is passing watery stools after every feed, he has no fever and seems quite well in himself still lots of smiles he also looks like he might be getting a tooth as I can see a white dot on his lower him, could this be the cause of the watery stools?
In most cases when a child starts teething, diarrhea is usually followed after. This causes the parents to believe that the two incidents are directly related to one another. But the reason for this is that babies usually crawl around and take in unwanted germs that upset their stomachs. This condition is not uncommon in teething babies. The causes of this, however, can vary from a change in diet, increased drool or taking in germs through the things that they put in their mouths.
