Could Weak Leg With History Of Hurting The Leg Be Iliotibial Tract?

I have very weak left leg where there is little lift when I lie on back in slight upright position and try to lift leg to do core muscle exercises...I did hurt it years ago she bucked off a horse. I think it may be the The iliotibial tract? Can you suggest any remedies?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
It can be weakness of illiotibial tract or some time there can be meralgia parasthetica. It is a nerve compression disease with pain in left side of thigh. So i would advice you to show it to a orthopaedic surgeon and get his opinion.
