Could Worrying About Contamination Caused By Urine Be Considered OCD Or Anxiety?

a situation has been bothering me and I don t know if it is ocd related or if it is genuinely harmful to me. so basically last night I was masturbating on the toilet because it helps relieve my anxiety (and omg this already sounds so disgusting) I didn t have and underwear on so I was fingering myself with my bare hand and well I started to pee a lot (or it might have been discharge/cum from my euretha) and it got on my hand. after I was finished masturbating (my hand was still contaminated with urine) I went to go brush my teeth without washing my hands first and now i m worried that my urine have contaminated certain parts of the bathroom (including my toothbrush/anything I touched after masturbating) and i m worried that these contamination from the urine/and or discharge on my hand could be harmful or deadly :(

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. The concept you shared here comes under broad spectrum OCD. But diagnosis of OCD depends on continuous obsessive behavior. In your case, only with this one obsession, you cannot classify this behavior as OCD.

We recheck the fan switch again and again, recheck the water tap, recheck the car door is locked etc. These are normal behavior. For OCD the same behavior is to be repeated even after confirmed. and over a long period of time. To confirm whether you have OCD or not, I need to know your whole life pattern. But with the give behavior, it is normal.

You might need psychological counseling and or psychotherapy. Please visit http://psychocure.webs.com for behavior modification, mental health assistance, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and other psychotherapies, etc.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
