Could Yellow Scab Around The Area Of Scraped Mole Indicate Infection?

A week and 2 days ago I had a mole scraped for testing. As of now my small wound is still in lot of pain almost constantly, a bit more red around the edges, and when redoing my small bandage today a greenish yellow scab thing came off with the bandage. My leg hurts I m areas as far as 3 inches away from the wound with even I light touch. Should I be concerned about an infection, and/or go see a doctor?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you are having increasing pain and a discharge then there is a risk of infection being present.

The pain should be decreasing and no discharge should be present.

It would be best to see your doctor for an assessment. If infection is confirmed then you would need a course of antibiotics.

I hope this helps
