Crusty White Deposit In Ear, Itchy, Pain. Dead Skin?
i took my mom to get fitted for hearing aides, the technician l;ooked in her ears and decided that he had better refer her to an ent doctor- he saw a crusty, white build-up in her right ear that he thought might be dead skin, he tugged on it and it wouldn t come out or move, thus,the refferal,. i watched it on the tv monitor, it looked strange-what couldit be ?-she has no pain, or little pain, and she says it itches.

Before a hearing aid is fitted in an ear..its important that the ear canal should be patent..
so it should be ensured that there is no impacted wax or fungal debris or dead skin debris in the ear...The technician referred her to the doctor to ensure that this debris that he could see was cleared.As per your description it could b a mixture of wax and some fungal infection in her ear...USe solliwax ear drops three drops four times a day so that this debris softens and then take her to the ear specialist so that it can b easily removed by him , with less pain.Once the ear canal is clear...hearing aids can be fitted
