hello and welcome to hcm forum robl,
i am glad you wrote in, according to the dental history presented by you it seems that your tooth is infected, therefore you have symptoms(fever,
fatigue,
swollen lymph nodes).
Once the restoration(filling) cracks, oral fluids seep in easily, resulting in microbial infestation.
therefore your
dentist replaced your fractured filling with a temporary one to check whether the infection is deep or superficial, in your case its deep, therefore, its hurting following the temporary filling,if possible, kindly remove the filling, or visit your dentist soon.
most probably , the tooth will have to undergo
root canal treatment,in order to confirm the treatment plan, x-ray would be required.
i advise you to visit you dentist, get the temporary filling removed, he/she will prescribe you antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication to relief pain and swelling.
i recommend antibacterial(
betadine) mouth rinse twice/day, along with warm saline rinses(3-4 times/day), this will help resolve most of the swelling.
i hope i answered you query,
i wish you good health.
