Dark And Red Clots During Periods, Cramps. What Is The Reason?

My period is normally dark red and gets rather clotting after day two.I normally have a 1-3 day window on my start day due to stress. This month however it's bright red and a very light flow. I am also have horrible cramps..I did start one day later then calculated but it's really bright and that's not normal for me.. I do normally have cramps but nothing this harsh.. its a strong enough cramp to make me want to stop what I'm doing grab my belly and breath and make faces.. what do you think the reason could be

It looks like you have been experiencing some amount of uterine spasm and you would definitely need an antispasmodic for relief. Dysmenorrhea, as it is called, has several reasons; it could be hormonal, due to infections or due to stress.
