Delayed Periods, Headaches, High BP. Negative Pregnancy Test. Delay Due To Pregnancy Or Stress?
hello i am 8 weeks late for my period today and i took a pregnancy test about a month ago when i first missed my cycle and it was negative.I also have been having headaces on and off for a couple days and my blood pressure was a little higher than normal, could i be pregnant? If yes why did it not show up on the test? Or could all this be the result of stress?
Hello
Thank you for getting in touch with us. As I see, you've been 8 weeks late for your periods. This is a significant period of time and we would recommend you to do a Home Urine Pregnancy test as soon as possible. Irrespective of the result of the test, you should get in touch with your Ob-Gyn Doctor then to find out the exact cause behind the delay in your menstrual period. If the results are positive, your Doctor will most likely get an Ultrasound done to confirm the pregnancy. If you are not pregnant, then a complete examination along with few laboratory tests will be conducted to find out the reason behind the delay in periods. Hope this helped
