thank you for your query. From your history, it appears that you are having a drug induced allergic reaction. At this point you do not need to panic, because this type of reaction usually responds favorably to stopping the offending drug and supportive treatment quite promptly, within a few weeks. However, to pin point the offending drug, a detailed history of the duration of intake of each drug and the temporal sequence of the same is required. both Losartan as well as escitalopram can cause such kinds of drug rashes, however, its very rare in both the medications, more so in escitalopram. If you have been taking the previous medications for quite some time (months to years) and started losartan recently, most likely, the later is the offending agent. If a patient would have come to me with your complaints, I would first stop losartan, and prescribe medications to control your reaction, like prednisolone (Corticosteroid), cetrizine or promethazine (antihistaminic), depending upon the severity and extent of the rashes. I would like to monitor your blood pressure regularly (since stopping losartan may cause relapse in hypertension), and add some different antihypertensive if required. I would also refer you to a dermatologist for evaluation of the rash in case it may be a different pathology unrelated to the drugs. I would recommend you to urgently consult your treating physician and a dermatologist for the same.
