this question can best be answered by an orthopedics doctor- what are the modalities available for this kind of fracture...ideally having a look at the toes will give idea what is needed to be done. Does he have open wound or just toe fracture? If open wound then the doctor will take care of both- the wound as well as the fracture and will also prescribe medications to avoid infection and pain. If there is no wound on the fractured toe, but some swelling is there, then please go and see an ortho doctor for appropriate support to the toes. Meanwhile this kind of stress and lack of exercise due to fractured toes will tend to increase his blood sugars so please make sure you check them and and get corrected by a Diabetologist soon. Take care. get back for any related query.
