Diabetic Patient Had Hernia Surgery For Abscess And Having High Blood Pressure
this is regarding to my mom she is diabetic, she is hospitalized right now, she had a hernia surgery two weaks before ,she had aabccess in her leftside of her hernia ,bld.pressure is high and we r so worried about her. should we change the doctor rightaway ? pls help us out.....
Any surgery carries the risk of infection. Diabetics are at a higher risk due to defective immunity. So the need of the hour is to drain the abscess and keep the operation site infection free for it to heal properly. In my opinion good nursing care is needed than change of doctor. keep her blood sugar and blood pressure under control to facilitate wound healing
