Diagnosed Scoliosis, Crushed Discs After An Accident. Pain Returned While Taking Percocet. Medication For Pain Relief?
I have been diagnosed with scoliosis, crushed discs from an auto accident and am currently seeing a pain doctor. For the last 6 months he has had me on Percocet 10 mg. 6 times a day. Until recently it helped me function as normal as possible. The last couple months the pain has returned and I don't know how to approach my dr. to please change my meds or add something else. I don't know much about pain pills - but I really need relief - am very depressed with a life of pain & wonder how much longer I can go on...
Hi, every pain drug will have a period of activity, after that its efficacy is reduced, due to release of more enzymes from the liver to deactivate to the residues of the drug. So consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days and to be repeated one injection every weak. and pain medication, when ever necessory. Thank you.
