Diagnosed With Helicobacter Pylori. On Prevpac, Amoxicillin And Clarithromycin. Taking Valsarten For BP. Side Effects?

Hello! I am diagnosed having Helicobacter pylori and was given a course of Prevpac (lansoprazole 30-mg) Capsules, (amoxicillin 500-mg) Capsules, USP, and (clarithromycin 500-mg))for 14 days. Are there any side effect? I am taking almost 4 days and having loose motions and bitter taste in tongue. I am also having Blood pressure and take Valsarten 80 twice. is it safe to have both the medicine? What precaution I should take while I finish the course

Hi and thanks for the query,
The course of the antibiotics used in the eradication of H. Pylori contains Amoxicillin which is important is a causative agent to induce diarrhea. It might be important to consider the extent of the side effects. If they are so intense, you might seek advice from your physician. But in your case, I suggest you might support the slight side effects which in this case is mainly diarrhea till you complete the course of the treatment. I insist that Amoxiciline is often implicated in this diarrhea. The benefits of this course is very important with many long term protective effects.
Interaction with other anti hypertensive drugs should not be an issue in this case.
