Diagnosed With IBS, On Low Fiber Diet, Stomach Pain, Bloated. Suggestions ?

Had surgery about 6 years ago and was diagnosed with IBS several years prior to that. I am on a low-fiber diet but still have issues with stomach pain and bloating. I am taking some medications for cramping. Also recently was diagnosed with neurophy due to the severe issues with my stomach. Do you have any suggestions for medications or other therapy?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM

IBS or irritable bowel syndrome is common diagnosis. Low fibre diet helps in improving the condition but exact treatment is must in order to get improvement for stomach and booating. Cramping is a common feature in IBS. I would advise you to consult a Psychiatrist for expert opinion. Medicines like Clinidium bromide and chlordiazepoxide combination are very effective. Omeprazole helps to improve the upper gastric pain.
Apart from that low dose anti-anxiety medicines and anti-depressants also help to improve the condition.

Thanks
