Diagnosed With RBBB, History Of Bypass Surgery. Can It Be Cured By Practicing Breathing Exercises And Yoga?

Is RBBB life threatening? My 76 yrs old dad has recently been discovered with it. He had a by-pass surgery 8-9 years back and had a BP attack last year due to which his right leg and hand are slightly weak. Last couple weeks he had indigestion, stomach unrest and felt a bit weak. It s after that that RBBB was found. He doesnt appear to have any prob with the chest as of now and follows routine life. Can rbbb be cured by practising breathing excercises or yoga techniques?

Hi,
Most of time RBBB is not life threatening and it depends on whether this RBBB is causing a significant abnormality in the cardiac function of the person. Another thing I would like to inform you that the RBBB which is diagnosed can not be treated by practicing breathing exercises or yoga techniques. It is a problem in the electric conduction system of the heart and can be because of some condition or may be present since birth. All though doing yoga and other exercises are going to help you in improving your over all health and well being. As you father is 76 yrs old and already had by-pass surgery and also had BP along with one attack, it is important to keep taking medications to maintain the BP. The indigestion, stomach unrest and feeling weak should not be related to the problem of RBBB. But I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for the problem of RBBB have investigations to make it clear that this RBBB is not causing problem with the cardiac functions.
Thanks and take care.
