Diagnosed With Bi-lateral Sciatica, Legs Do Not Respond During Walking. Suggestion?
I have been diagnosed with bi-lateral sciatica two years ago, but now i have acute periods - lasing a fraction of a second - that my left leg does not seem to respond to the normal signals during walking. I use a walking stick during 'good' days and a fourwheeled walking frame when the distance is larger.
Hi, As you got sciatica on both the limbs, there might be severe degenerative changes in your lumbo-sacral spine and producing osteoartheritis of spines giving rise to irritation or pressure on nerves. Go for x-ray or CT scan to know the severity of the lesion. Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined. After examination and investigations he will decide to go for conservative line of treatment or surgery accordingly. Physiotherapy will be very helpful. Do back extension exercise after consulting your doctor. Take calcium, vitamin A and D supplements. Ok and take care.
