General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
A patient suffering from chocolate cyst or any ovarian cyst can have pain any time.Treatment for chocolate cyst consists of oral contaceptive pills, anti spasmodics and local heating by pad.
Cysts which are larger than 5 cm are generally treated by surgery.
There is nothing unusual in your having pain.
Thanks
