Diagnosed With Foot Drop After Total Hip Replacement. Is There Any Cure For This ?

My name is Phiroze Contractor and I reside in Mumbai. I have been diagnosed as having a foot drop after a total hip replacement since the past one year. Is there any way in which the footdrop can be cured.My personal email ID is YYYY@YYYY .

Dear Phiroze
you have sciatic nerve palsy post total hip Arthroplasty.
If it is from one year and not recovered than the possibility of future recovery is very less.
If you get the EMG NCV test done than we can better comment about the future recovery and type of nerve injury.
There are surgery for foot drop known as tendon transfer or bone block.
you need to consult the nearest orthopaedician for better understanding.
