I was diagnosed with fungal meningitis in oct. of 10-12. I received Voriconazole 200 mg for 5 months. After Igot off med., my bp shot up to 170 /100. My doctor put me on bp meds and anxiety meds which we hope I can get off eventually. I have also lost range of motion in my left arm which doctor thinks is related to my rotor I cuff. I had therapy and thought it was under control, but has come back with terrible pain in upper left arm if I stretch arm too much. About 5 weeks ago when I WAS WALKING BRISKLY , I ruptured possibly the plantaris tendon (muscle). Was put in a boot at first because foot doctor thought it was Achilles' tendon but MRI showed it was not. My right leg (lower) is still swollen as well as iknee and ankle Difficult to get up or down without help. Calf was in terrible pain each time I moved. I used a walker just to get from bed to bathroom. Last week I could finally walk normally but still have swollen leg, ankle, and knee. Have any survivors of fungal meningitis had any of these problems. I feel it is somehow related, but doctors act as if there is no connection. Of course, some of doctors I see are affiliated with clinic where I received spinal shots that caused meningitis, so I don't completely trust them.
