Diagnosed With Latent TB. LFT And ALT Was Above Normal. Should I Stop Medicines?

Hi I had a positive quantiferon test gold and was diagnosed as latent Tb I don t have any signs and symptoms of Tb . I am not smoking nor drinking .we don t have family history of tb . To make the story short I indulge myself to take meds of anti tb . Liver function test was done and its normal . But after two weeks I had my LFT check and my ALT was above the normal level . What I have to do I am taking that meds for 18 days now . Is it okay if I have to stop taking those anti tb drugs ?

Dear sir,

Kindly consult a physician immediately . ATT is hepatotoxic . I think you will need to stop it . Positive quantiferon test is not an indication for TB.
