Diagnosed With Mild PCOD, Conceived. Do I Have High Chances Of A Miscarriage?
I was diagnosed with mild pcod in 2007, 2008 I conceived and gave birth to a healthy baby boy.( now four years old) now I m pregnant with my 2 nd and I m really concerned that I m in higher chances of miscarriage and it became an obsession. My first pregnancy was ok, had no complications or other problems. My doctor prescribed me duphaston .i never had any miscarriages as far as I know. Do you think I should take duphaston again? I m 4 weeks preg. Thanks, Stephanie , 26 years old
Hi,
Though PCOD patients are at higher risk for abortion, chances of not having abortion are greater than that of having one. Besides you had given birth to a healthy baby, so your chances of abortion are less. So don't worry, relax. Just follow healthy lifestyle (healthy diet with some exercise daily). Duphastan is given to reduce riskof miscarriage. You can take that again.
Wish you good health.
