Diagnosed With Molluscum Contagiosum. Need Another Cryotreatment? How To Prevent Contraction?
I was diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum. I had a cryotreatment on three spots. 2 of them have scabbed and the 3rd has scabbed. But I think there might still be virus due to a little white dot still on it.
It has been two weeks and I have noticed a 4th one appear. When should I visit for another cryotreatment?
Lastly, I am abstaining from sex but have a partner I share a bed with. They have been understand with my decision to be abstinence. I currently wear bandages to sleep to prevent any skin to skin contact. Is this sufficient?
Hi Thanks For your querry to HCM I could not guess your gender. I suppose you are an adult and not a child. What is the site of the lesion, Genitalia or other parts? Contact the cryotherapist for when to go. Covering of lesions and hand hygiene after contact with lesions should prevent transmission in these situations. Many a times fomites (Shared towels etc.) behave as vector. Swimming pool is a common reservoir.
Get well very soon.
