Diagnosed With Multilocular Right Ovarian Cyst, Possibility Of Endometriosis. Any Surgery Required And Risks ?
Hi, My wife has been diagnosed with a multilocular right ovarian cyst that is 10.5cm in diameter. The sonography mentions that some small septations have been seen. Also, with a possibility of endometriosis . First, is this a major danger for her health? Does she have to go under surgery? Does her ovaries have to be taken out of her body? She is 22 years old.

Diagnosed With Multilocular Right Ovarian Cyst, Possibility Of Endometriosis. Any Surgery Required And Risks ?
Hello, Thanks for the query, Size of the ovarian cyst is big enough (10.5 cm) for surgery. Surgery is advised to prevent its complications like ovarian torsion. During surgery ovarian cyst is removed keeping healthy looking ovary intact. Chances of ovarian cancer is minimum since she is just 22 years old. regards, Dr Nilofer
