Diagnosed With Ovarian Remnant Syndrome, Had Hysterectomy. Have Left Side Pain And Hot Flashes. Taking Premarin. Suggest?
I have been diagnosed with ovarian remnant syndrome - had a complete hysterectomy 10 years ago - now have pain left side and a experiencing increasing hot flashes. My OBGYN wants to do another abdominal u/s in 2 months to see if the cyst has changed in size. I am taking Premarin, 0.625 mg. My hot flashes are getting worse, not better. Could this be symptomatic of an ovarian remnant?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The pain that you are having ion the right lower abdomen could be caused by the ovarian remnant. There can be an ovarian cyst causing you the pain. An ultrasound scan is necessary for diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Rakhi Tayal , drrakhitayal@gmail.com
