Diagnosed With Polymyagia R, Severe Pain. No Help From Cortisone, Panadol Osteo. Possible Virus?
I was diagnosed with polymyagia r in january and put onto prendisone then cortisone for8month without any success or relief I now am taking panadol osteo for pain and still suffering from pain in arms and shoulders also buttocks and legs could it be possible I dont have polymalgia but something else like a virus

In Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR), excellant clinical response will be seen with the use of prenisolone with significant resolution of the symptoms.
As you don't find any clinical improvement in the symptoms, I personally feel that the diagnosis of PMR has to be reconsidered. A further detailed evaluation is needed to determine the cause of your symptoms.
