Diagnosed With Sinus Carcinoma. Para Glottis Extension. Took Treatment For Squamous Cell Carcinoma In Thigh. Problem?
My father has been diagnosed with (carcinoma) on the left pyriform sinus carcinoma with left Para glottis extension. He was earlier underwent treatment for squamous cell carcinoma on the left thigh (Glutal region). Please advise whether the treatment at this age is advisable, if so please advise what is the best treatment and its rate of positive response. If not treated what could be the complications. His weight body weight is 57 kg and height is 168 cms.
Though rare but not unheard of in medical literature, two different cancers as in your father and can affect the same patient at same or different times. The treatment for such disease essentially remains chemotherapy, radiation and surgery where possible.
You may consult the same doctor where he was treated for gluteal cancer and take necessary treatment. Staging of disease may require CT scan or MRI scan and treatment started soon.
