Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,
You seem to have thyroid disorder as suggested by the medicine your doctor has prescribed to you. I would suggest that you should see an endocrinologist for complete thyroid testing if you haven't seen one till now. There are many types of thyroid disorders, some are temporary some need long-term treatment. If your medication is correct & thyroid function becomes normal, there is no problem in getting pregnant. During pregnancy , more frequent thyroid testing & close follow up with endocrinologist is needed.
Best wishes for your health

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Akhilesh Dubey's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for posting your query,
If you are advised to take Thyronorm 25 microgram then we indirectly know you have underactive thyroid.
You have not mentioned any investigation about Thyroid function which is essential for the diagnosis of Hypothyroidism, like Free T3, Free T4 and TSH and if TSH value is high generally indicate underactive Thyroid.
some are temporary and some like autoimmune destruction or post surgical may need treatment of Thyroxine supplement lifelong.
Please consult Internal medicine specialist or Endocrinologist.
Proper history and examination further investigations like Lipid profile,Serum Prolactin, Complete blood count, anti TPO antibody and anti thyroglobulin may be done along with Ultrasonography.

Even if Hypothyroidism is there and proper supplementation is given to maintain Euthyroid state there is no problem in pregnancy only more vigilant and good control of Thyroid is required.
In the meantime continue Thyronorm and take iodized salt with normal diet.
Hope this information is useful to you.
Please take care
Good Luck.
Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D.
