I had a bad toenail several years ago and from that took blood work and through that I was diagnosted with tyroid problems. my toe nails on the left foot never did heal. they are all ruff thick and foot hurts. no one can tell me what to do. then my gums started being very sick and i ended up after numerous treatments loosing teeth so i had to put a plate on top. very hard to except. and meantime my foot is still not doing good. then i developed ulcerative coltis and that is under control and doing good. and my foot is still not doing good. who can i see and who is a good interist i can go to to get help. please help me , thank you
This has to be treated with a long term course of oral antifungals. This therapy can sometimes be combined with topical antifungals according to the condition of the patient. For confirmation of diagnosis, sometimes nail scrapings are taken and examined for fungal element's.

Hi You seem to be having a fungal infection of the toenails. This has to be treated with a long term course of oral antifungals. This therapy can sometimes be combined with topical antifungals according to the condition of the patient.
