Did TKR. Had Surgery Again Due To Dislocation Of The Replacement. Pressure In Knee While Sitting And Intense Pain. Reason?
Hello, I had TKR, 2 years ago, My pain was worse and I had frequent episodes of going out to the point I would have to grab hold to prevent a fall, I did not have a CPM after hospital release so it froze and I had a manupulation 1 month later, My MD would always tell me things will improve after a year. Since then I have had bulging disks in my back and constant hip pain, My PCP said is was due to overcompensation, I just had surgery again due to dislocation of the replacement and now have a immobilizer on for 2 weeks, This happened while, eating my lunch, I felt pressure in my knee while sitting and my knee flew back and intense pain that caused me to have to go to ER asap, What are my options now. Thank you. Cathy
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The dislocation of the implanted knee can cause a persistent pan due to mechanical imbalance of the knee joint. It will take time for the pain to improve completely. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
