HI can you tell me the difference in strength & pain relief of 30mg ms contin & 30mg oxycontin please, have had neck surgery 3 hrs to remove cancerous lymph nodes & non cancerous there was also a nerve with cancer in it which makes my mouth look like Bells Palsy & also this nerve which had the cancer removed gives me bad shoulder pain. Thanks

Hello,
Both ms contin and OxyContin are pain relievers.
While ms contin is morphine sulfate,OxyContin is oxycodone.
OxyContin is 1.5 times more powerful than ms contin.
So in effect 30 mg of ms contin is equivalent to 20 mg of OxyContin OR 30 mg of OxyContin is equivalent of 45 mg of ms contin.
