Difficulty In Swallowing Pills, Deviation Of Tracheal Has Become Worse. Dilatation Done But Symptoms Worse

I have difficulty swallowing pills. They become logged in my throat and may stay there until softening or dissolving occurs. I also have deviation of the tracheal that has become worse. I had a BA swallow that revealed a thick band around the tracheal. Dilatation was done, but the symptom is worse. Any suggestions?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I read your query regarding difficulty in swallowing pills , as you said that you have a thick band around trachea which leads to tracheal deviation and thus esophagus is also pressed and ultimately passage of food feels some resistance.

You had been already tried for dilatation but it had not benefited to you. Therefore I would like to suggest you for surgical intervention by dissecting the fibrous band of trachea, this surgery will be performed well by cardio-thoracic surgeon.

Regards.
