Discomfort Behind Left Ear, Round Ball Like Mass, Tender To Touch, Constant Ache. Should I Worry ?
Hello. I'm AAAA. Last night i noticed feeling some discomfort behind my left ear and has become increasingly uncomfortable since. it's round, hard, very tender to the touch, constantly aching, about the size of a dollar coin, though round like a ball. i'm nervous that it might be cancer. Can you please help understand what the typical early symptoms are to be concerned about and how to proceed if symptoms persist? thank you for your help! AAA

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
With the description this does not seems like cancer. If you can put the picture of it we can explain the diagnosis and the management clearly. May be due to abscess or sebacious cyst. Now don't apply any pressure on it. Take Tab Paracetamol for pain and consult your doctor for further management. Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
Hi, Thank u for anwsering the question. this could be infective lymphnode. it is possible due to infection in the scalp, ear or any other area which is draining in that area. it wl b better if u show it to alocal physician and take a anti inflammatory with an antibiotic. thank you and regards Dr Shama
