Disturbed Sleep, Acid Build Up In Throat, Constantly Spit Bile, Occasional Heart Burn, Running Nose, Sore Throat. Diagnosis?
Hi. For the past 10 or so hours i have been unable to properly sleep and have been getting an excessive buildup of acid in the throat. I occasionally get heartburn , but this is more constant and intense. I have constantly been having to spit out the excess, which sometimes includes bile . I also have a slightly runny nose and sore throat to accompany - cold like symptoms. I was wondering if these other symptons are solely caused by gastoenteritis or is this a mix of this and flu . I was also wondering what action I might take to stop the heartburn.
Hello
you are suffering from esophagitis due to GERD.your sore throat is due to acid is coming from stromach into your throat and irritating him.In order to get off from symptoms of heart burn you should start is life style modification means use a healthy diet avoid tea coffee drinks spicy and fry foods. You should use milk and yogurt as they suppress the acid and gave you relief and use pillow while sleeping and never lay down after eating mostly after dinner and must eat at least 2 hours before going into bed and not wear tight clothes try this it will help.
If still persist use some antacid preparations such as syrup GAVISCON ADVANCE or histamine2-receptor antagonists, histamine2-receptor antagonists such as Tab Zantac 150mg or Cap Nexum 20mg any one of these and must be taken before meal at least half hour also you need Prokinetic agents which work by increasing the ability of the stomach to empty like tab Motillium.
