Dizziness And Blurred Vision After Being Hit On The Head. Need To Be Checked?
A friend of mine got hit by a vehicle stop (I hope that is what it is been called - a bid rod like think that detects the vehicle and opens / shuts automatically) around 1 year ago. He started complaining of dizziness & blurred vision 3 months from now. At the time of injury, he went to doctor and doctor said everything is OK. There was no bump or any visible appearance. What might be the problem? Please reply.
Hi there,
Thank you for writing to us.
It seems that your friend has had what is called as a concussion on the head.
When the head gets hit what happens is that the brain hits the hard skull because there is no space for the brain to move around.
This is called as a concussion and the symptoms that result after a concussion are termed as post-concussion syndrome.
These symptoms can last for months or even years and usually go away slowly over time but some symptoms may just be permanent.
Kindest Regards
