Do Celebrex And Orencia Cause Bruises On The Body?

I am 32 and have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I take Celebrex daily and receive Orencia infusions monthly. I have been noticing new bruises every morning and my hair is thinning. Could one of my medications be causing these symptoms? I get a CBC before every infusion and my MPV is the only abnormal result. It is low and has been gradually getting lower each month.

Celebrex is an NSAID( Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug). It helps reduce the pain from your arthritis. Some of the sideeffects include bleeding into your gastrointestinal tract. It doesn't usually cause bleeding, but could be a rare side effect. Orencia is a monoclonal antibody. It doesnt cause any bleeding related side effects. You could get your physician to adjust the celebrex in case he feels that it is causing the bruising.
