Do Gallstones Cause Abdominal Cramps And Vomiting?
Cramping Experiencing severe stomach cramping, some vomiting since yesterday around 3:30. Came on suddenly. Ate omelet for breakfast. Decided to have a protein shake with 1/4-1/2 cup of frozen raspberries for lunch. Have not been able to eat anything since. Pain causes me to feel very faint and nauseous when I try to stand. Could this be a gall bladder attack?
It is possible that acute gall ladder infection, gall stones, severe gastritis, acute pancreatitis, possibly caused by gall stone obstruction, or just intestinal colic due to some thing you have eaten can all cause such symptoms. If it persists, you will require an abdominal ultrasound examination, and relevant blood investigations to find out the exact cause and manage it. You may in that case consult a Gastroenterologist.
