Do Kidney Stones Cause Lower Abdominal Pain?

i am facing lower abdominal (back )pain after sonography i found one 4.4 mm stone in right kidney. My pain is untolarable during night time, I am taking medicine to disolve it since 15 days but pain is as it is. I want to know that my pain is due to stone or some other reason?
