Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Do Premenstrual Symptoms Like Headaches, Cramping And Diarrhea For A 51-year-old Need Attention?
I am currently 51 yo and was tested through labwork and exam at 43 and confirmed menopausal. In the last week I am having premenstrual symptoms like when I still had a period. Severe headaches, cramping, diarrhea and a tiny bit of brownish discharge. Should I be concerned? I am not due my annual exam until September.
This is not normal for a 51 years old post-menopausal woman to have brownish discharge. You should seek gynecologist help to diagnose the underlying problem as it could be due to any uterine abnormality.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr SAMEEN BIN NAEEM, General & Family Physician
