Do Short-lived Frequent Cramps On Lower Pelvis And Uterus Indicate Labor During Pregnancy?

Hi I turned 40 weeks pregnant yesterday. And since last night around 10 or 11 I have been having painful cramps like almost similar to menstrual cramps on lower pelvis and uterus, down below , and it last for 30 seconds or less every 10-20 mins but my water has not broke and I have not seen my mucous plug at all, my last checkup my doctor said that my cervix wasn t open yet. Am I ready for labor ?

Hi, I think these are symptoms of labour. You should consult your doctor. Sometimes water doesn't break. So, better to get evaluated by a doctor. She can examine you and tell you that you are in labour or not. Hope I have answered your question.
