Do Sovaldi And Ribavirin Cause Harm To The Kidneys?

I was told today I have stage 3 kidney disease, and have a hep c i am to start treatment tonight with the new drug sovaldi and ribavirin. everything ive read talks about the concerns about kidney disease when taking this drug. i m scared and unsure I will have blood test by next wednesday. what signs should i look for if this starts attacking my kidney s and how fast can something happen day? hours? I have a small kidney on the rightside from kidney problems in my past.I believe blood from surgeries gave me the hep.

Well, you are being treated for Chronic hepatitis by a combination of Sovaldi and Ribavirin.
The common side effects noted with this combination are headache, diarrhea, itching, fatigue. There is no documented evidence of its toxicity on kidneys.
Nothing to worry about the kidneys since this combination of drugs are prescribed by your treating doctor keeping in mind about your Stage 3 kidney disease.
