Do Water Pills Cause Pain And Tenderness In Upper Quads?

I have had edema in my legs for a long tim (overweight.) Recently, my doctor prescribed a water pill and the swelling in lower legs is going down. But now I have pain and tenderness in upper quads, some warmness, etc. Could the water pills be causing this? Should I worry about a DVT? The pains started the other night when I was sleeping- in the areas I was putting pressure on. Since it is both legs, and no redness in the area, I thought more likely electrolyte/muscle vs. DVT. Thoughts?

dear patient its nothing to worry about. diuretics or waterpills can give you muscle cramps sometimes, because you were sleeping on that part it developed nerve and muscle compression leading to exxagerated pains.rest assured its not a dvt
if incase you develop respiratory or breathing dificulties i suggest you go to emergency.otherwise its fine.
hope that answers the question
