Doctor Suggests For Total Hysterectomy Without Any Concrete Evidence For Cancer. Is This Correct Treatment?
I have been having mixed outcomes of tests for endometrial cancer - so far nothing conclusive, but my doctor still wants to do a total hysterectomy. I can see no value in having this surgery without concrete evidence of cancer. Can you provide some resources so that I can research?

Atypical hyperplasia diagnosed on USG and Histopathology report of D &C is a condition which is considered precancerous. There are several conservative way of management are available for those women who still need to have children. The best management for women who is not willing to have kids, should undergo Hysterectomy. It is good to diagnose these pre cancerous conditions, because treatment at this stage has very good prognosis.
Those who are on conservative management for 1 year, and do not see benefit in Atypical Hyperplasia, should also undergo Hysterectomy.
If we wait for confirmatory evidence of cancer, it may be late, and less chances to eradicate the cancerous tissue completely.
