Does Aspirin Cause Excessive Vaginal Bleeding?

Hello, Scenario- 26y/o female, menorhagia and dysmenorrhea , takes Aspirin 1000mg every 3-4 hours during menstruation and for joint pain, Hgb-8 g/dl, Hct-32%, Retic count 1.5%, Erythrocyte count 3.1 x 10/mm, Smear with microcytic an hypochromatic cells, all other labs normal. Is this iron deficiency with risk of bleed from Aspirin, or chronic inflammatory response?

Hello,

The risk of bleeding is related to the use of antibiotics. I recommend using Acetaminophen to relieve the pain instead of Aspirin. I see that the patient also have anemia.

I recommend checking the ferritin and sidermia levels to take proper treatment. The treatment consists of iron and vitamin B12 supplements.
