Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had angioplasty in November 2013. One stent only. since then i have been prescribed Ecosprin 150- now 75 mg- to me for daily use. A recent microscopic examination of urine states rbc 8-10 in urine. Is this caused by the aspirin regular use because all other reports are normal except low testosterone.
Ecosprin, if taken empty stomach may cause mild erosion of stomach mucosa and thus few red blood cells in stool. However, it will not lead to blood in urine. I suggest you to consult an urologist to look for some other cause of blood in urine.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shailja Puri,
