Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic,

I am Dr.Naveed Ullah khan,

I have read your question in detail and will try to help you in the best way possible.

Atrovastatin does cause muscle pain which is a common side effeft usually on the thighs and the lower limbs and u might be taking that as joint pain. As u said the pain goes away after discontinueing the meds. I think u should definitly talk to your doctor about this as it most probebly is because of the medication then.
Also do your liver function tests as it can raise the liver enzymes too and that would be an indication to stop the medications.

I hope this answered all your queries, if you have more queries,I will be happy to answer.

Wish you the best of health.

Regards.
