Does Benadryl have a steroid in it? My dog is having issues with hot spots & skin irritation that are itching. We have found out that he has a high sensitivity to steroids, it causes him to be incontinent & lose total control of his bladder. He was tested showing his pituitary gland is over active

I have gone through your query. Benadryl is Diphenhydramine which is an antihistamine. It doesn't have steroid. This can be used of allergic conditions like itching or rashes in skin. It can cause drowsiness but is short acting.
