Does Butrans Aggravate Neuropathy Pain?

I have severe neuropathy on one side resulting from a brainstem stroke. I ve done pretty well on 3 10mg of Percocet a day. I recently had to change doctors and she put me on the Butrans patch at the 5 mcg level. After the first month, she increased it to 10. Within hours of putting that patch on, I was in excruciating pain. The areas where I have neuropathy now feel as if someone were taking a blowtorch to them. With her agreement, I removed the patch after a week, but I m still in pain. I m far worse off now than I was before we tried this. Has anyone else ever reported increased neuropathy pain from Butrans?
