Does Complera Cause Extreme Fatigue And Diarrhea?

I have HIV and take Complera. I ve been on Complera for about four months. About six weeks ago, I started having extreme fatigue with diarrhea for 2 to 3 days at a time followed by 2 to 3 days of good health. This cycle has repeated for six weeks. I ve been to my family Doctor and my HIV Doctor and explained this. I ve had lots of bloodwork done. My HIV Doctor said it may be something called Rejuvenation syndrome. I tried to find Rejuvenation Syndrome on Google with no results. My family Doctor says it s just my body fighting off the HIV virus. I ve been HIV positive since 1999 and never had these symptoms until 6 weeks ago. What could it be? I feel great on the good days and completely useless on the sick days.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever with extreme fatigue this seems to be viral fever or flu. It happens due to poor immunity of body. The symptoms can also caused by side effects of certain medicine , but complera id not known to cause such effects .I would suggest you to take anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to prevent fever and body-ache. Drink plenty of fluids, have proper rest. You should take muscle relaxant as well. You should do warm saline gargles on daily basis. Avoid cold carbonated liquids. You should not take fried, hot and spicy food.Do warm saline gargles. Take analgesic and take light diet. Your symptoms will resolve in 3-4 days. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit general physician once and get it examined and start treatment after proper examination and prescription. Go for blood tests as well.
