Does Flomax Cause Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?
I am taking Benicar HCT as well as Flomax. Recently, I have been experiencing bouts of low blood pressure, and have on physician s advice cut the Benicar dosage, but have experienced bouts of higher than normal BP. While the Flomax is effective in treating urinary BPH symptoms, might it be causing the anomalies in BP? SR Louisiana

The fluctuations in blood pressure are likely due to adding Flomax, followed by decreasing dose of Benicar. Continue the current doses for few more days. And keep a blood pressure chart. If rise in blood pressure occurs, then dose of Benicar can be increased.
