Does Gabapentin Cause Depression?

I take Gabapintin for diabetic neuropathy and I have a lot of depression. My endocrinologist gave me the prescription for 300 MG up to 10 pills per day. I have very bad foot tingling even when my sugar is 120. Could Gabapintin be causing my depression?

gabapantin is indicated always in cases of neurobathy but it will make you drowsy and sleeping alot and make you depressed ...i see in the clinic alot of cases have that side effect when they take drufgs like gabapantine..you should accomodate your self for that ...althaugh it is pain killer but has side effects..regular doses is important at regular times as interrupting dose time will make it worse
